Self Determination Program provides an opportunity for Individuals served by San Diego Regional Center to access services in a different way then Traditional Services (Click on the image below). With the SDP process the Individual works with a team to determine their "Spending Plan" for the year with different unmet needs that are identified in the Person Centered Plan (PCP). To start, all interested Individuals will need to attend the Orientation and then discuss their desire to start SDP with their current Service Coordinator.
This site is designed to allow Individuals interested in the program, participants already in the program, and their related support system access to resources to assist in getting enrolled and learning about the SDP. If you are interested in participating in the SDP, reach out to your regional center for more information on how to get started.

Once completed by the provider, on how the participant will be experiencing the services, send the copy to the Service Coordinator and your FMS. The Service Coordinator will review the form. If the Service Coordinator is concerned with any element, they are able to consult with the Client Participant Specialists or the HCBS Specialist of the regional center. Unfortunately, there is no direct way to obtain a list of providers specific to SDRC & SDP Services. However, an outside agency created a Search Engine—The SDP CA Network—that allows providers to list vendored and non-vendored services and Independent Facilitators (IFs). Individuals are also able to look up different types of services they are interested in obtaining. Click on the image to access the website.
